End of the Week Posting

Well, it's friday. i am tired from the week and all the crap going on in my school. check out this email from my school district superintendent(sp). he sent it to every teacher in the district. on second thought, that email was probably private. anyway, the jist of it was, "you all suck and i can't believe how horrible the kids are doing! can't you see this is why i am going to turn this entire district on its ear? i am shocked at the scores! what have you been doing in your classrooms since august???" this district is getting worse and worse. i don't know how bad it will continue to get. hopefully it will get better before it gets worse.


by the way, Greenday "American Idiot" is a great album. just another step in the development of a great band.


friday is upon us. i wish all of you a good weekend. 3 school days till christmas. yipee! good night

A day for worrying...

6 weeks tests are wrapping up today, and apparently my vice principal is observing classrooms. i imagine free time isnt allowed as far as the administration is concerned. he already observed my classroom at the beginning of the week. surely he wouldn't come back??? it's three days till christmas break, all the testing is done, don't claim i should be trying to teach them anything important. i wish the teachers were allowed to "observe" the principals. that would never happen because in the state of texas, teacher's unions are incredibly weak. welcome to one of the most non-union states in the union.

Great Leaders

i have just come up with a theory. my theory is that foreign leaders are worthless unless they are interesting or funny looking. of course, each person has different views on what is funny or interesting however, this is my gallery of great world leaders!



This is Vladimir Putin, president of Russia. He is a little funny looking, but his position on foreign affairs and his hatred of American interference is fantastic! Consider that this man might be responsible of the poison attempt on the candidate in Ukraine.




This is Hamid Karzi. On here purely for his awesome hat. I realize it might be part of his traditional wardrobe, but it is awesome!



Fidel is always a fan favorite. Rough and tough, even though he has little power off his island, he's a fantastic leader and has a great beard.

Well, at the end of each 6 weeks, we are told by our department heads to pass out a 6 week test. the tests are boring and long and the students hate them. teachers...well, here is a picture of me this morning. don't i look happy...

weather pixie

i added a weather pixie today. it was a bit of a debate for me, due to the extreme feminimity of having a pixie on my blog. i was thinking though, why don't the have a pixie pixie. you could have the musicians from the pixies tell you the temperature in your area. that would be badass. and a little stupid, i realize.

i am listening to the cure, which is a little weird. monty claimed i disliked all music from the 80's because i wasn't into music then. maybe he is right.
