woke up, rolled out of bed, dragged a comb across my head
it's tuesday which is good, only in the fact that it is not monday. of course, if it was wednesday that would be better, progressing till friday. stayed up till midnight to wait for a check to clear, then rushed to the atm with the wife, got 40 bucks and flew to whataburger to get a chicken sandwich. is this the life of the professional i though i would become? i think not.
preceptions of where you should be and where you actually exist are interesting in that its completely individualized. i might think someone is a success, but in their minds they are a complete failure. sometimes, when i consider my friends, i try to imagine how they think of themselves. each has a varying length of education, job skills, talent, and looks. how far did they assume their skill set would get them? have they achieved their goals?
too early to think about this crap. the uneducated of d-town are on their way to listen (yeah, right) to me give words of wisdom. i must be off.

Boy, I can relate to that one. When Arthur and I were scraping by in our early twenties, we'd "cheque surf" our accounts for a couple of days until an anticipated cheque arrived. I remember when I was 25, in grad school, pushing around our little "bundle of joy" I couldn't imagine a day when I could buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks any day of the week I wanted. I was seriously wondering why I was bothering with my education when friends without one were driving nice cars and doing a hell of a lot better than me!
Hang in there - things improve in baby steps, so you don't notice, until all of a sudden it's just easier, and you look around and wonder how that happened.
yeah, i just thought it would be easier since i graduated college. instead, i got a job teaching and am struggling to pay the bills on time.
good to know about someone else suffering though, i guess...
oh how it never ends...the more money you make, the better your lifestyle and then you become accustomed to it...next thing you know you feel broke again (which in fact, is not really true!).
Success is so relative and cannot be measured by finances. Just keep trudging away...I have found that it gets easier with age.
